Yolanda Markopoulou / Director - Producer

Yolanda Markopoulou is a director and producer in both theater and film. She has directed a number of performances including Tejas Verdes, Dead Travelers, La Tierra, I_LEFT, We are the Persians! (Athens Festival '15) and the short films Pyramids of Athens and It’s Ok my friend with funding from the Greek Film Center, which have been presented in many festivals around the world.  In 2007 she founded Polyplanity Productions and Synergyo Theatre, an alternative performing arts space in the center of Athens. She has produced Stathis Livathinos’ The Marriage of Figaro and Homer's Iliad (Athens Festival, Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, CDN Madrid, Santiago A Mil etc) and line produced Danton’s Death by Livathinos, Macbeth by Moschopoulos & The Good Person of Szechwan by Evangelatos at the Onassis Cultural Center. She was also the executive producer in many well known performances for cultural organizations and festivals including Little Red Rinding Hood - The First Blood and Antigone Lonely Planet by Lena Kitsopoulou, Aristophane's Birds and The Cherry Orchard by Nikos Karathanos, Cyclops by Pantelis Dentakis and more. Since 2017 she has worked alongside Ioanna Valsamidou the curator and artistic director of an innovative cultural initiative called Mind the fact festival. She was an Associate Producer on Asia Argento’s The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things (Cannes Film Festival, Director’s Forthnight) and a Producer on Spyros Stathopoulos’Meteora (Berlinale 2012, Official Selection). She worked as an assistant director for Michael Cacoyannis and Stathis Livathinos. She has collaborated with Rimini Protokoll for "Prometheus in Athens" (Athens Festival). She graduated from Boston University College of Communications/Film Production.

Vicky Strataki/ Production & Administrations 

Vicky Strataki was born and raised in Greece. She hοlds a BA from the University of Athens in Media & Communication studies and an MA with distinction from Queen Mary Univ. of London in Film Studies. She is a PhD candidate and her thesis subject covers Urban Space in Contemporary Greek Cinema. In addition, she has worked in the non-profit sector and has published articles on music cinema and the arts.
She has been a member of the Polyplanity PRODUCTIONS team since 2017.
